Nice day...too much work...Raining today.

I spent the day yesterday fixing up the old homestead. I vented the dryer outside, installed the air conditioner and removed the furnace from the middle of my living room. Now I just have to find a new heating source before winter comes again. Looking for a good airtight wood burner. I'm kind of tired of giving my hard earned cash to the gas company, if you know what I mean. If anyone reading this knows where I might find a cheap potbelly and/or air tight wood burning stove I would appreciate a heads up. I need to get under the house sometime soon to do some plumbing.however Mikes is to sweet to work in the rain "lol" "sugar melts you know." Oh well, as long as it raining I might as well just spend the day playing on the PC. Mob Wars is calling me.

A letter posted to the Toledo Blade

The City of Toledo Sucks

Let me start buy saying that I will never set foot in Toledo again.

I went down town for a family function and could not get there because the city and its poor planning closed off half of the downtown area for a foot race. Now I’m sure that the race was for a good cause however if I was a business owner in the downtown area that was inside the circle of that race and lost the business that they lost because the police blocked off every road into that loop I would be hopping made. The city should reimburse every business owner for loss of income for every minute that the roads were blocked. And the people that set the whole thing up should be looking for another job because they sure don’t know how to do this one.

As for the city itself, they just need people that don’t have there heads up there asses to run the city. You don’t cut your police force. Then put extra officers on special duty and/or overtime to cover special events.

As for the residents of Toledo, you dissever everything you get. You don’t get rid of a bad Mayor then turn around and vote him back into office. If a person or a group of people due you wrong “well shit on me once, shame on you…shit on me twice, shame on me” you don’t get them back….GOT IT.

One thing for sure, I don’t have a lot of money, but what I do have the City of Toledo will never see any of it.

Over Medication

The other day my father ended up in the hospital for two days. Now for those that don't know him, he and my mother both take a lot of prescription drugs. Morning and night. After two days in the hospital with none of his daily medication being taken he looked better then he has in years.....Go figure. A young doctor came into his room to check on him and I told him of this observation and he told dad that when he gets out of the hospital to take all his medication to his doctor and go over them one at a time to see if he still needs them. He said, "don't take a list, take the actual bottles of pills. Its harder to ignore the actual bottles" Finally a doctor that listens.

Just walking in the rain

Well lets see. Where to start? It's been a couple of days since I was here last. Mostly because I had nothing to say.... I know, I know. Me with nothing to say you say! It happens. Not often, but it does. Last night I walked home from work "five miles" in the rain. Not a happy camper. It seems that someone was talking to there mom and forgot the time and forgot to pick me up. I can't be mad though, because I left her standing in the rain once because I was late picking her up. Oh well, Shit happens. I want to get started on this trailer but the weather won't cooperate. Come on good weather...Get here. I think I might buy me a small pickup truck today if I can swing my finance's around enough to pay cash for it. We'll have to see..... That's it...I have nothing else at this time. Love, and may God bless you all.

THE WORLD AND IT'S NEEDS

Where to start....hm mm, well lets start with, who do I need to please? Aaa lets see.....NO ONE. That's right folks, the only one in this world I need to please is the man upstairs. And since he made me in his own likeness, the only other, I need to please is me. I'm so tired of trying to be every body's friend. Where does it get me. I have a son that hasn't talked to me in years, a father that finds fault with everything I do and scores of others that just don't like my lifestyle. Well too bad. It my life and I'll live it the way I want. That said.......I want to let everyone know I love you all very much. Life is too short to hold grudge's and I refuse to do so. I forgive everyone that has a problem with me and I hope you can get over it and have a healthier life. I'm sixty years old and have had what I think is a good life. Three wives, six kids "some mine, some not mine. but all mine." and best of all sixteen grand kids, who I wish I could see more often. I'm blessed that I still have both of my parent's living and a super girlfriend/fiancee that lives with me. I hate my job but it puts food on the table and pays the bill's. I apply for my social security in November and hopefully the work load will lessen in May. My sixty-second birthday. I've vented enough for now.....Thanks for listening. Love to all and may God bless.

The Cop's and Me

Last night while coming home from work I failed to use my turn signal "it was 1:30am" and the Holland police pulled me over. Using my get out of jail free card I was let go without a ticket. I'm sure he was just looking for a DUI at that time of the morning. Still I think I'll start using my turn signal more.
