The City of Toledo Sucks
Let me start buy saying that I will never set foot in Toledo again.
I went down town for a family function and could not get there because the city and its poor planning closed off half of the downtown area for a foot race. Now I’m sure that the race was for a good cause however if I was a business owner in the downtown area that was inside the circle of that race and lost the business that they lost because the police blocked off every road into that loop I would be hopping made. The city should reimburse every business owner for loss of income for every minute that the roads were blocked. And the people that set the whole thing up should be looking for another job because they sure don’t know how to do this one.
As for the city itself, they just need people that don’t have there heads up there asses to run the city. You don’t cut your police force. Then put extra officers on special duty and/or overtime to cover special events.
As for the residents of Toledo, you dissever everything you get. You don’t get rid of a bad Mayor then turn around and vote him back into office. If a person or a group of people due you wrong “well shit on me once, shame on you…shit on me twice, shame on me” you don’t get them back….GOT IT.
One thing for sure, I don’t have a lot of money, but what I do have the City of Toledo will never see any of it.

Over Medication
The other day my father ended up in the hospital for two days. Now for those that don't know him, he and my mother both take a lot of prescription drugs. Morning and night. After two days in the hospital with none of his daily medication being taken he looked better then he has in years.....Go figure. A young doctor came into his room to check on him and I told him of this observation and he told dad that when he gets out of the hospital to take all his medication to his doctor and go over them one at a time to see if he still needs them. He said, "don't take a list, take the actual bottles of pills. Its harder to ignore the actual bottles" Finally a doctor that listens.
